Because of a host of reasons Civil Society Organisations are not always well equipped to with a whole range of ideas, approaches and capacity for carrying out development interventions successfully. At one end of the spectrum they feel the need for purely technical input - the provision of training to its staff or setting up new financial or computer system, etc. Further along the spectrum is organizational capacity building for which they often need support in their own progress and development. This organizational development not only focuses on the organization's systems and physical assets, but on its people, its culture and its ability to plan for the future.
In this direction FourX4 has been a resource agency for the first phase of the Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) programme which was a collaborative programme of Department for International Development (DFID), Government of United Kingdom and Development Alternatives (DA), a leading national level development agency in India.
